About Old Durbar Reserve Whisky
Old Durbar Reserve brings together imported Scotch malt and English grain spirit with spring water sourced from the Himalayas. The Scotch malt component is matured for eight years in traditional American oak barrels in Scotland, allowing the spirit to develop its character before being blended.
The blend is then matured for several months in European oak Oloroso sherry barrels in Nepal. This additional maturation contributes fruity and honeyed characteristics to the whisky, while the original maturation contributes notes described as vanilla, spice, ripe berry, and rich barley malt.
At 42.8% ABV, Old Durbar Reserve has a higher alcohol strength than many standard whisky offerings. Its 750ML bottle makes it suitable for whisky collections, home bars, gatherings, celebrations, and gifting.
